Don't Point That Cleaver At Me

A lot of people seem to like this shot, and ask for the story. So here it is. I saw some neon in this meat market in Chinatown, and of course had to shoot it. Being a nice guy and all, I asked one of the people in the store if I could take a photo of the neon. She nodded, so I started taking shots. Then this guy (in the photo) started screaming, yelling, banging his counter. He wasn’t speaking English, so I assumed he was yelling at his co-worker and ignored him. When I was done, I turned and walked out, and noticed that he was yelling at me, and waving his cleaver at me.

After I walked out of the store, I stood on the sidewalk and took a series of photos of this guy losing his temper. This was my favorite of the series.

Great shot, Jeremy. Good work to keep shooting with a crazed chinese man waving a cleaver at you. :-)
