July 24th was the third annual Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk. I joined a group of photographers at the Albany Bulb, a former landfill that is now an urban park of sorts. The location is full of interesting finds. Graffiti is abundant, and artists have assembled sculptures from various found and discarded materials.
The walk was lead by photowalking veteran Thomas Hawk. There was a good turnout, and a nice variety of photographers. Some people had film cameras, some brought large digital SLR’s, and some brought small point and shoot cameras. Some were here for their first photowalk, and some have been on many photowalks.
You can see all the group shots from the Albany Bulb photowalk here, shots from all the worldwide photowalk participants here, and my set from the photowalk here.
