2010: Looking Back

December 31st, 2010 Permalink

2010 was a busy year for me, photographically speaking. I shot over 10,000 frames this year, and posted over 3,800 photos to my Flickr stream. The following are some of my personal favorites from the year.

Sunset Shooters
This was taken on the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk in the Albany Bulb.

Ribbed
I shot more film this year than in years past. This is one of my favorites from the Rollei.

Historic Market Street Double, Plate 2
Another film shot. This is a double exposure shot with a Polaroid 100.

Greyhound Up
The Transbay Terminal was demolished in 2010. This is a view that no longer exists.

Big 40
Most of you know I have a passion for shooting neon. This year was no different. I had spotted this sign from the freeway, but didn’t get back to shoot it until earlier this year.

John
One of my favorites from the $2 Portrait Project. This photograph also appears in the book Save 10: Volume 2.

Love's Easy Tears
One of the things I like about my job is the view from the office window. This was the view on a particularly foggy day.

A Simulated Double Exposure Head On Collision At 70 Miles Per Hour
Experimenting with long exposures led to this shot.

Mount Auburn Angel
My wife and I visited Boston in October. It’s difficult to pick one favorite from Boston, I selected this one since it was shot while walking with my wife, and it brings back fond memories of the trip.

Transit By Rocket
The Raygun Gothic Rocketship is on display along the Embarcadero in San Francisco. It’s a wonderfully whimsical installation, and makes an interesting addition to the San Francisco skyline.
