Banksy has hit San Francisco! This is in Chinatown, on Commercial just off of Grant. There is another piece in the Mission, on Valencia between 19th and 20th. Are these the real thing, or a publicity stunt? So far, nobody seems to be sure one way or the other, but it is very cool to see these large pieces in the city.

The Transamerica Pyramid is probably the most recognizable building in the San Francisco skyline. The building used to have an observation deck on the 27th floor, but this was closed in the paranoia knee-jerk reactions surrounding the 9/11 attacks.

Next week, Natalie Dybisz (Miss Aniela on Flickr) will be hosting some photowalks sponsored by Microsoft, Samy’s Camera and Eye-Fi. I will be joining Thomas Hawk and others at the Ferry Building on Monday at 6:30 pm. If you’re going to be in the bay area, plan on joining up. It should be an interesting group.
