What to Get

Select the correct installer for your operating system from the links below.  You can also download some data files if you want something to read right away.

If you are upgrading from an earlier version on your Mac, just install the new version over the old one. On a Windows or Linux machine, it is recommended that you uninstall the previous version first.

Windows/Linux

Installing

To install, download the installer and double click it (windows) or run it from a terminal window with java -jar ScripDuJour-1.4.0_Installer.jar (Linux). After the installer is finished, you will have a new Scrip du Jour program group, and optionally shortcuts on the desktop.
Some Linux distributions will recognize the jar file as an executable, so you may be able to just double click it to start the installer.
Note: This installer should work on Windows Vista and Windows 7, but you may need to point it at your Documents directory if it complains about permissions. Thanks to macrat for reporting this.

Running

After installing the program, you can run it by double clicking the shortcut on the desktop, or by selecting the Scrip du Jour program from your start menu.

Mac OSX

Installing

To install, download the disk image of Scrip du Jour, open the disk image, and drag the Scrip du Jour application icon to the place you want to install it (usually your Applications folder). After installing, you can eject the disk image and throw it away.

Running

To run the program, double click the Scrip du Jour application icon.

Data Files

Other Files

If you are a command-line junkie, don't fret.  You can install the program by unpacking one of these archives.  You will probably have to muck around with the startup scripts to get it to launch, but since you are a command line junkie, that should not bother you.

This program is released under the GNU General Public License, so the source code is available.
